The Nine Patch quilt block has been popular with quilters for hundreds of years and is considered one of the oldest known patchwork designs. Its simplicity is a great starting point for beginners, while the infinite checkerboard-like possibilities for fabric combinations and layouts make it a fun block for more experienced quilters as well. For our version, we are doubling down on the fun and creating nine patches within nine patches for a dynamic quilt that goes together quickly with the help of strip piecing. In fact our entire quilt is a Nine Patch!
