Origami patchwork blocks are loads of folding fun to make. Use fabrics from your stash and lots of scraps to create this colourful quilt. The technique is simple but so satisfying you won’t be able to resist making block after block.
Quilt measures 47” x 47”
Requirements:
large variety of 2 1/2” strips
1/4 yard each of 25 fabrics for the triangles (you can use some of the remainder for some 2 1/2” strips)
(25) 4” squares for the centres
3 yards foundation fabric such as quilters muslin
1/4 yard for applique squares (black and cream check in picture)
1/2 yard lightweight iron-on Pellon
1 1/2 yards 54” wide backing, or join fabrics to at least 50”x50”
1/2 yard fabric for binding
