Beautiful designs can be created for the centre of each block by fussy cutting your favourite fabrics for stunning effect. The quilt is machine pieced with no Y seams and suitable for beginner to more advanced sewists. Start collecting interesting fabrics such as the prints used in the cover quilt which are all from Anna Maria Horner collections. Quilt Measures 73” x 73”.
Requirements per block:
Purchase a variety of interesting fabrics for fussy cutting the centre of the block. The amount will depend on the design but you will need at least four repeats of the same motif for each block.
1/8 yd (10cm) of a solid, small print or tone on tone fabric for the small squares.
1/4 yd (25cm) of contrasting fabric
A small amount of template plastic
1/2 yd (40cm) for the first border
1 1/4 yd (1.1m) for the outer border
4 1/2 yd(4m) Backing
2/3 yd (50cm) Binding
