Anna Maria invites you into not just her techniques for making quilts, but also her expansive fine art training that informs all of her color and composition choices. Opening the door on her fabric choice processes, compositional ideas and sharing a wide range of time tested patchwork & appliqué techniques all culminates to inspire your own work in this expanded 4-day workshop.
Students will get ready for the quilt making process by participating in interactive color and design lessons where eyes are opened wider to the early part of the design process. Whether the student chooses a completely independent route for their project, or chooses one of Anna Maria’s many quilt patterns as a starting point, she will work one on one with everyone to support the process. Anna Maria’s goal is to take you and your quiltmaking to a more fulfilling, confident and personal place.
